Texting and Booking Updates Coming June 17th!
We are always looking for ways to better serve you and your pets. That's why we're making a couple of important changes that will help us streamline our operations and keep your pet's information better connected in our systems.
Starting June 17th, two things are changing: the number you text to get a hold of us, and the way you schedule appointments.
Read on for everything you need to know!
📱 New Texting Number
On June 17th, we will have a new number available for texting. Please save this number so you can reach us without interruption.
New texting number: (404) 334-5551
A few important notes about this transition:
Phone calls will continue to come from our current number, (404) 480-4384
For texting, our current number will remain active for texting through the end of June, so there’s no need to rush. However, after June 30th, that number will no longer work for texting.
We encourage you to save our new number before June 17th so you're all set when the switch happens. See below for a quick guide on how to update your contacts to save this second number:
How to Update Your Contacts
If you already have Eastwood saved in your contacts, here's what to do:
On iPhone:
Open the Contacts app and find your existing "Eastwood" contact.
Tap “Edit” in the top right corner.
Tap "add phone" and enter the new number. You can label it "Text" to keep it separate from the main clinic phone line.
Tap “Done” to save.
On Android:
Open the Contacts app and search for "Eastwood."
Tap the contact, then tap the pencil/edit icon.
Tap "Add phone number" and enter the new number. Label it "Text" if you'd like.
Tap “Save.”
Alternatively, you can create a brand-new contact called "Eastwood Text" and save only the new texting number there!
🐾 Introducing Our New Pet Portal
We are also saying goodbye to PetDesk and welcoming a brand-new Pet Portal, designed to make managing your pet's healthcare simpler and more convenient than ever.
Starting June 17th, booking through PetDesk will be turned off. Our website’s “Book Now” button will automatically direct you to the new Pet Portal, so you’ll find it right where you expect it.
With the Pet Portal, you can:
Request appointments — no phone call needed
Request prescription refills
Review and print vaccine certificates for boarding, grooming, or daycare
See upcoming health reminders for your pet
View your invoice and service history
And more features to come!
How to Access the Pet Portal:
Visit our Pet Portal at petportal.vet/eastwood-veterinary-clinic (or click 'Book Now' on our website).
Click "Login to Pet Portal."
Enter the name, email address, and phone number we have on file for you.
You'll receive a verification code by email — enter that on the login page and you're in. No username or password to remember!
New clients are welcome too! You can request your first appointment directly through the Pet Portal.
Quick Reference: Key Dates
June 17th: New texting number (404) 334-5551 goes live; Pet Portal launches; PetDesk is turned off.
Through June 30th: Old texting number (404) 480-4384 still active — but please switch over as soon as you can!
Starting July 1st: Old texting number will no longer work. Make sure you've saved the new number.
